8 Best Teachings Of Buddhism For Success

About 7% of the world’s population call themselves Buddhist and believe in the teachings of Buddhism as the right way to live life.

Buddhism is an Indian religion, which is generally considered to be a system of thought more than a religion, a way of living or life philosophy, just because there is no god in it. The main focus of Buddhism is on overcoming one’s sorrows and approaching one’s ego to get rid of his cycle of death and rebirth and end it.

Buddhism and psychology overlap at many different levels, such as analyzing emotions, behaviour, therapy, mental health, and human motivation.

So in this article, we will try to take new wisdom and understanding with the help of the teachings of Buddhism.

8 Best teachings of Buddhism

1. Share Wealth, Knowledge and Joy

Buddha says in his coat one candle can light a thousand candles. Because of which happiness or knowledge never decreases by sharing, but it increases.

That is if you cannot help someone by giving money directly, then give your happiness or knowledge. Give your time to people who can learn something from you or just be sad and happy to be with you.

Because Buddhism says that there is a light inside every human being, so it does not matter how lost or dark he is. You can help him by bringing him to your light and giving him a little spark.

Teachings of Buddhism on helping others

– Many people who are depressed or in a giving up state mostly just need a push and a ray of hope. Your job is to support such people and share the knowledge you have learned from your own life.

2. Success comes from small habits.

Buddha says that drop by drop he fills a pot. Such an ignorant person slowly fills the evil inside himself. But the same wise person gradually fills himself with goodness.

That is, the path of evil can initially give us a temporary feeling of success or happiness. But with time, as our bad karma ripens, you will start getting the results of your actions.

Similarly, in the beginning, there may not be any logic in doing good deeds and you may find this path more difficult than the path of evil, but eventually, you will also get the reward for your works.

As an example, it takes a lot of time to build a good body by going to the gym, but sucking up a short term pleasure and spoiling all your hard work by eating junk food does not take any effort. Both the paths are made from our daily small habits, which by performing consistently leads us to reach good or evil.

– If you want to change your bad habit, start taking small steps towards good habits which will give you long term results.

3. Anger kills

There are many such things and many people in our life that become the reason for our anger. Sometimes we get angry with ourselves because of our mistakes and sometimes because of what others say and do.

But Buddha says that holding on to anger is exactly as if you drink poison yourself, but you accept that someone else should die from it.

If a person hurt you years ago, but you are still sitting with anger and bitterness for them, then this thing will only harm you.

Teachings of Buddhism on anger

Control your anger by developing a new mindset and understanding the consequences of this anger. Fill your mind with positive thoughts and read that book, listen to songs or talk to yourself that fills you with love instead of anger. Because the first step to controlling your emotions is to control the things that you consume, whether it is knowledge or the words of another person.

4. Create Good Karma

According to Buddha, everything we do, speak and even think is our karma, that is, whatever we do based on our free will. If an action is out of your will, it is not your karma.

For example, if your life is a car, then the direction in which you turn the steering, every time you apply the brakes or step on the accelerator, then all those actions together will take you to a destination and then we will say that now the reason for reaching there is Your karma.

Because you have done any action of your own free will and now you have to face its good or bad consequences. But our focus should not be on results or results but just on doing good work and it will be possible. By having good intentions.

Buddha says that when a bird is alive, it eats insects, but when that bird dies, insects eat it. Millions of matchsticks can be made from one tree, but only one matchstick can burn crores of trees.

Teachings of Buddhism on karma

Your situation can change at any time. Don’t put anyone down in your life and don’t hurt them. You can be more powerful today. But remember time is more powerful than you. So be a good person and do good deeds.

5. Choose the middle way

Being born in a rich family, Buddha had every comfort and facility in the world, but he was still not happy. When he came out of his palace, he saw three bitter truths of the world i.e. poverty, disease and death.

Seeing travelling on both sides, he thought of adopting another extreme method and he started meditating by staying in the forest, away from all comforts without eating anything.

But because of his decision, he started falling very weak and ill and then explained to him that even killing his desires is not the right way to get out of travelling.

Teachings of Buddhism on the middle way

We should follow the middle path in which we neither run after extreme wealth nor settle in poverty. We neither eat so much simple food that we start getting diseases nor so much that we start getting weak. We should neither be so selfish that we do not appreciate the needs of others nor should we become so engrossed in helping others that we forget our health. Find a balance in everything. You will get the shortest travel at this point.

6. Be Wise and Silent

Buddha says that observe the rivers that flow after fighting through big rocks and crevices. She makes a lot of noise in her small space. But an ocean flows peacefully, whatever is empty inside makes more noise but whatever is full, it remains calm.

That is, there is a right time to speak and listen to anything. A person should speak only when he has something meaningful to say and what comes out of his mouth is true and he should listen more than speak.

Because not every person sat by understanding everything. But on the other hand, the person who neither speaks in a manner nor listens calmly. He is hollow from the inside and he is trying to get attention in different ways.

Teachings of Buddhism on silence

To keep yourself on the right track, say little, whatever you say, speak for the work and then listen silently.

7. Practice Detachment

It is being said here that whatever old ideas, beliefs or desires you have, do not identify with them. Do not keep so much expectation from every situation that you start harming the same thing that you speak for yourself.

Buddha says that you feel the most pain when your child dies, but if something happens to the child of an unknown person, then you do not feel so much pain. If your child is making sand forts, but after some time a wave of water mixes the whole fort in the soil, then this thing hurts him a lot but not you. Everything that we say is mine is what causes our sorrows.

Teachings of Buddhism on detachment

Don’t get so attached to anything that you give your happiness to the same person and when it happens, then the happiness also goes away.

8. Live Every Day Like It’s Your Last

According to wisdom, our life goes on a cycle of date and rebirth and our goal should be to get ourselves out of this travelling cycle and rise above the illusionary web of the world.

But we live as if we have a lot of time to waste. We keep postponing all our important work and schedule our hard work for the distant future.

But if we live our lives with the thought that every day is our last day on this earth then instead of laziness and having fun all the time, we will treat every person well and give our time to only those things which are necessary. . A person with this type of thinking sleeps peacefully every night because he is satisfied that he has lived every movement of his day freely.

For this reason, Buddhists advise meditating early in the morning because even while meditating, you go to a state where you can feel your death or your absence while meditating you forget that you Who are you or are you alive?

Teachings of Buddhism on life

Keep this understanding with you throughout the day and do all your work mindfully. If you are eating something, just focus on the food. If you are reading something, then remove the distraction and focus on reading only. If you work or are in school, then do all your work there unconsciously, not in half-sleep without any focus but with your full attention. This thing teaches you to stay away from the past or future and stay in the present moment and minimise suffering.
